week#1 Hello!

Hello!

This is my first blog ever! It is exciting and at the same time, I am a little bit nervous. Mostly because I am not a big writer. Hopefully by the end of semester I become a little bit better at writing.

Let's talk about my first assignment; the blog set up. Honestly it was super easy. I set up my account and played with theme setting. Within 10 mins or so I got hang of it and was able to set my page how I want it. Seems like if I was better at coding, I could apply my original layouts to the blog page. Pretty cool!

For now, I just picked my layout from one of the default themes. I chose "soho" with an interior picture background. I picked the theme based on the background picture. I love interior design and I liked the color choice of the picture. After I picked the theme, I changed the background color to white and font color to gray. That is my go-to color setting for any of my webpages. My style is simple, modern and organic. I enjoy white because I like to use quite bit of visual contents with color (like pictures) so white helps those visual contents to stand out also helps to breath easy a little bit better. I added my recent favorite color, brown red as an accent color, which looks good with my home page as the color matches with the background picture.

I did not change the font setting as I liked the one that came with the theme, I usually pick a classic serif font for my contents and handwritten cursive font for titles. I wonder how I can change the title of this blog post to other font style..
